Firstly, I'll admit these aren't Lego blocks. These are Jumbo Megabloks. No one seems to know the difference, so I just call it the "Lego Table". This idea started small, but got big at Toys R Us. I bought 400 Jumbo Megabloks (I ended up with a lot of useless pieces afterwards) and began assembling. I used a piece of table glass I found at the Salvation Army Thrift Store as a guide for the final size of the table. At first I ended up with a nine-legged monstrosity that fell apart when friends came to visit, so I made a trip to home depot. I bought 1/2" square steel rod and round threaded rod. I first drilled two shafts in each leg of the table, where the threaded rod, anchored with 3/4" washers and locknuts, gave vertical stability. The top of the rods are covered by the top blocks on each corner. Then I cut the square rod to match the lengths of each side and drilled mounting holes on each end where the threaded rod could run through. The square rod is just underneath the bottom row of blocks. I cut notches in each block so they fit snugly onto and hid the square rod. Final size: 14"x23"x30" Cost: $200
